Take Down Your Fences
Mind map 2m x 2m exploring the notion of private property and collective cultivation of wildness in urban areas.
This thought experiement looks at private gardens in urban areas as a resource for bio diversity. It explores what our cities our towns might look like if we took down our fences to create a vast shared green resource and suggests a shift towards seeing our gardens as nature reserves
Whilst utopian in its vision this drawing led to a series of ideas relating to the fifteen minute forest and the idea that people in urban areas should be in walking distance of wild places, tree networks and bio diversity.
